Job Description:
Community Covenant Church is located in an urban neighborhood of Minneapolis, Minnesota.Community Covenant Church is a multi-ethnic, worshiping community, serving God and neighbor.

Community Covenant Church is seeking a part-time Choir Director with an emphasis in Gospel Music. This position begins January, 2010.

Choir Director:
(Will direct one Adult as well as the Children’s and Teen Choirs)

Qualifications include:

• Previous experience in directing a choral program preferred

• Formal musical training preferred

• Dedication to music as a means of worship

• Ability to teach and direct variety of Christian music, with an emphasis in Gospel music

• Ability to relate the Christian faith within this forum of worship

Job Specifics:

• Approximately 10 hours per week if directing all three choirs, which includes 3.5 hours rehearsal time, weekly worship services, preparation time, and one annual concert
• Must be available for evening practices and Sunday morning worship services
